This page includes a complete overview of GED prep class options and test facilities in the Flint area. Michigan is using two options for high school equivalency testing: the GED and HiSET.

Both exams are available online and at certified test centers. Check below to learn more about online GED and HiSET testing.

The exams are for individuals who couldn’t graduate from high school and give them one more chance to obtain an equivalent degree.

The GED® does so via four separate tests in

• English Language Literacy
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies

These modules may be dealt with separately and in your desired order.

The HiSET® comes with individual reading and writing subtests, so five in total, that can be taken separately as well.

The GED is offered exclusively on a computer, while the HiSET is available on paper and on a computer.

Testing is done at a level that compares to that of graduating high school seniors.
