This post lists all GED testing sites and prep facilities in the Cheyenne area. Wyoming is using two options for High School Equivalency testing: the GED and HiSET exams.

Both exams can be taken at official Wyoming testing facilities. The state does NOT offer the online versions of the exams.

The HiSET exam is available both on paper and on a computer, while the GED is totally computerized.

The GED includes four independent modules (subtests) that assess an applicant’s knowledge in these subject fields:

• Language Arts
• Social Studies
• Science
• Math

These four sub-exams can be taken one at a time and in any order you prefer.

The HiSET exam includes 5 subtests, as the Language section has separate writing and reading parts. These tests can also be taken separately.

In earlier days, online HiSET or GED testing was not possible. You needed to show up at official testing sites in person.

However, this situation has now changed as many states have introduced online GED and HiSET tests. In Wyoming, however, online testing is NOT possible.

Welcoming Online GED and HiSET Testing

In the past, if you were looking to earn your HSE (high school equivalency) diploma, you always had to report, in person, to an official, state-approved HSE testing site to sit for the HiSET or GED test.

In many states, this has now changed with the arrival of both GED and HiSET proctored testing options. Wyoming, however, has decided not to offer this option.

Perhaps you qualify to take the HiSET or GED exam online in another state that has no residency requirement. Then, you may take the exam from the comfort of your home while an online proctor checks if you do it all according to the rules.
