GED Classes Buffalo, New York

Last Updated on April 10, 2024.

This page lists all GED prep locations and testing sites in the Buffalo area. New York used the TASC exam for high school equivalency testing purposes from 2014 until Dec. 31, 2021, but switched back to the GED test as the TASC was discontinued.

This website offers free GED online classes and practice tests that help you get started with your GED preparation and let you find out if our online learning approach is a good study option for you.

If so, we advise you to register with Onsego GED Online Prep, a full-scope program that GED Testing Service has given the predicate “100% aligned to the GED test,” a recognition that’s been awarded to just 20 online GED courses. Onsego will get you ready for the real GED test fast.

The GED exam gives persons who couldn’t graduate from high school the opportunity to obtain an equivalent degree. If you have already passed parts of the TASC exam, you can transfer these results to the GED.

The GED exam has four independent modules (sub-exams) in the fields of

  • Math
  • Science
  • Language Arts (writing and reading in one test)
  • Social Studies

The GED® exam assesses knowledge and skills at a level that is similar to those of high school graduates.
