Bentonville GED Prep Classes
Northwest Arkansas Community College
1 College Dr – Bentonville – Arkansas 72712 – (479) 986.6911
GED classes are held at Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technologies, 1000 SE Eagle Way.
In 2015, Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Department of Adult Education left Rogers to move its main campus to Bentonville.
The Adult Education Department had been located at St. Mary’s Center for Nonprofits for 4 years, and this was the third location in 12 years. Before, it had been housed in Rogers at North Second Street and Woods Lane.
The relocation to Bentonville was done to attract more students. Every year, some 3,000 adults sign up for basic education, GED classes, or English language classes at NWACC’s Department of Adult Education.
The school hopes and expects that more adults will enroll in higher education due to the on-campus services and exposure to the school’s programs.
If done right, on-campus adult education will benefit both students and the school, and it will help adults feel much more comfortable about considering college. It is essential that these students feel they are truly part of the school, NWACC officials say.
The school wants these students to feel as welcome as other students on the main campus, and the college relocated the Department of Adult Education to the 2nd floor of the school’s Shewmaker Center for Workforce Technologies (1000 SE Eagle Way).

Four Individual GED Tests
The fully computerized exam contains four separate modules (subtests) in
- Math
- Social Studies
- English Language
- Science
The GED is modular, meaning you can take the tests one at a time if you wish, and in any desired order.
Testing occurs at a level that’s comparable to that of high school seniors upon graduation.
The GED credential qualifies for a college education and will surely lead to better employment options.
You can also check how our free GED practice tests will help you identify your academic strengths and weaknesses so you can focus on what you should improve and study more efficiently.

The Online GED Test
Sitting for the GED exam online is also possible. It used to be that test-takers had to report to one of Arkansas’ state-designated GED test centers personally to secure an Arkansas GED diploma.
A few years back, however, all of that changed with the advent of the online proctored GED exam.
When taking the GED exam online, a proctor will guide you through the entire testing process and see if you do it all in line with the rules. More information is found here: ‘The online GED exam.’
You only qualify for online GED testing after you have achieved passing scores on the GED Ready practice test from GED Testing Service.
All four GED subtests require you to first pass one of these practice tests, so that’s four overall, for a total of $32 ($7.99 per test). This comes on top of the regular online Arkansas testing fees.
Free GED Ready Tests
If you opt for preparing for your GED test with one of Onsego’s My Advantage Plans, there’s no need to purchase any practice tests, since those plans already include four free GED Ready Vouchers!
So, you will save $32, a fantastic bonus, right? All My Advantage Plans from Onsego come with four GED Ready Vouchers, full access to all study materials from the beginning, and effective support courses.
These My Advantage Plans start at $79 for Onsego’s six-month plan, but there are more options, all including the bonuses mentioned and more.
