Launching Online HiSET and GED Exams

You could never take the HiSET or GED exam online. If you wanted to get hold of your North Carolina high school equivalency (HSE) credential, you were required to show up in person at an official North Carolina HSE testing center.

Now, with the launch of both GED and HiSET online testing options, that changed. If you want to get informed about the newly introduced GED online test-taking option, visit The online GED test, and to learn more about online HiSET testing, check out this page: Introducing the online HiSET exam.
