The GED exam has four independent subtests in the academic fields of
- Language Arts
- Social Studies (incl. History and Geography)
- Mathematics
- Science (incl. Chemistry, Physics, Earth and Space Science)

Sitting for the computer-based GED test over the Internet was, until recently, never an option. To secure your GED diploma, your personal appearance at one of Delaware’s state-designated GED test centers and passing the four GED subtests were required.
