GED Classes Twin Falls, Idaho

In this article, we have listed all GED® prep sites and testing centers in the Twin Falls area. The state of Idaho uses the computerized GED test for its high school equivalency (HSE) testing program.

The four GED tests are offered at state-recognized official GED test centers and in an online format.

The HSE program gives individuals who didn’t complete high school another shot at acquiring an equivalent credential.

GED testing takes place at a level that compares to that of high school seniors upon graduation.

The GED exam consists of four separate tests (modules) in the following areas: Science, Social Studies, Math, and Literacy.

You can register for, pay for, and take each of the four GED subtests separately.

Until recently, online GED testing was not possible. You had to come to an official Idaho test center and sit for the exam in person.

Now, however, with the introduction of an online proctored (O.P.) GED test-taking option, that has all changed. Read more below.

Idaho GED Practice Test

Online GED testing introduced

Sitting for the GED test was, until recently, not an option. The test was only administered at official Idaho GED testing centers. There was just no GED test available over the internet. To earn your Idaho GED degree, you had to come, in person, to an official GED testing center.

Now, with the arrival of a proctored online GED testing option, that has changed. A proctor will support you through the process and checks if you do it all according to the rules. More information can be found here: ‘Online GED Testing Option’.

A better future

The GED degree allows for continued education in college, and will doubtlessly lead to far better employment possibilities. GED and high school graduates are expected to make at least $9.500 more annually than persons who don’t hold a secondary degree. Online testing is NOT offered. Websites that spread this sort of information are fraudulent.

The American Council on Education, together with publisher Pearson Vue, administrates the GED exam. The GED tests measure applicants’ academic knowledge and skills at the level that high school students have upon graduation. Students who successfully take the four GED subtests receive the High School Equivalency diploma.

A good thing about the GED is that you can take one test at a time, no need to take everything in a row. The GED credential is not exactly the same as a regular high school diploma, but it is recognized and accepted as the equivalent of a standard H.S. diploma by virtually all employers, colleges, trade schools, business schools, and universities.
