What’s on the GED Test

The GED exam is entirely computer-based and comes with four separate tests in

  • English Language Literacy
  • Social Studies
  • Math
  • Science

You can take one of the four subtests (modules) at a time and in your preferred order; there’s no need to complete all four subtests in one sitting.

The GED diploma is recognized and accepted just like a regular high school diploma by schools and employers across the nation.

The Online GED Test

In the past, it was not possible to take the GED test online. To secure your GED, your personal appearance at a state-designated GED testing facility was required.

Well, that has changed with the introduction of the online proctored GED test, where an online proctor will help you and see if you do everything in line with regulations. Learn more here: ‘‘The online GED test.”

Be aware that, to qualify for the online GED test, you first have to attain passing scores on the GED Ready official practice test from GED Testing Service. For each GED subtest, there is a corresponding GED Ready test, each priced at $7.99.

Students who register for one of Onsego’s Advantage Plans, however, receive four GED Ready Test vouchers for free. That’s all included in their Advantage Plans. A wonderful $32 value bonus, right?
