Posted here are all GED or HiSET class locations and testing centers in the Springfield region. Massachusetts offers both the HiSET and the GED exam for its high school equivalency testing program.
Both the GED and HiSET are offered online and at certified testing facilities.
The assessments offer people who didn’t finish high school the chance to earn an equivalent degree.
High school equivalency testing takes place at a level that’s similar to that of a graduating HS senior.
The computer-based GED® comes with four modules in math, literacy, social studies, and science that may be completed separately.
The HiSET® exam includes five subtests in literacy reading, literacy writing, math, science, and social studies.
The HiSET is offered both on a computer and in a paper-and-pencil format, and the subtests can be taken separately, too.
Online GED classes- Simple, Fast & Easy.
Pass your GED quickly.
Until recently, online HiSET or GED testing was not available. You needed to show up at an official Massachusetts testing center. But that has changed with the introduction of both a GED and a HiSET online testing option. See more below.

Introducing An Online HiSET And GED Option
Taking the HiSET or GED exam online was not possible. The exams had to be dealt with exclusively at one of Massachusetts’ state-designated testing facilities. But recently, this has changed as online testing formats were introduced for both the GED and HiSET exam.
More details about the new online ‘HiSET-At-Home’ option are found here: ‘Introducing the HiSET online,’ and for more details about online GED testing, check out: ‘Introducing the online GED.’
Massachusetts Free GED Practice TestYour Future
A few years ago, Massachusetts introduced the HiSET exam for the state’s HSE (High School Equivalency) Testing Program to replace the GED, and later, the state decided to additionally offer the GED exam to its residents as well again.
Both the HiSET and the GED exams offer you the opportunity to make clear that you have had the education and have the level of knowledge and skills that can be expected of a high school student upon graduation.
Once you’ve secured your HSE (high school equivalency) diploma, your odds of obtaining a better-paying job are significantly greater, and you have more options for career improvement.
If you want, you can continue your academic education, and you will be working towards a sunnier future. But of course, you first will need to prepare well and pass the computerized GED test or the HiSET exam, which is offered in both paper and computer formats.
The certificate that you attain when you pass the Massachusetts HiSET or GED exam is all over America recognized as equivalent to a regular high school diploma by virtually all government institutions, hiring managers, and colleges and universities.
