GED® testing is entirely computerized and contains four separate modules (subtests) in
- Math
- Language Arts
- Social Studies
- Science
You may, if you wish, take the four GED modules one at a time. You don’t have to take everything in one testing session.
Schools and employers all across North America accept the GED just like a common HS diploma.

Welcoming the Online GED Test
In earlier days, it was never possible to sit for the GED test online. If you were looking to earn your Nebraska GED degree, you had to come, in person, to a state-designated GED testing center and attain sufficient results on the four GED modules.
But now, we’ve seen a great new development as an online version of the GED test was launched. If you want to learn more about this fantastic new opportunity, check out this post: ‘‘The online GED test.”

GED Qualification Criteria
To qualify for taking the GED test in Nebraska, test-takers need to be at least 16 years old, not currently signed up for high school, and not have earlier received a secondary education credential.
To pass the GED exam, candidates must reach a 145 score on each subject, so an overall score of no less than 580 is needed. The cost of all four GED tests is $144 in Nebraska; each test is $36. and this counts for both on-site and online testing.
You can sit for 1 test at a time and only pay for that test, or – if you wish – take the whole exam in one day if a test center can accommodate you.
