This is a full listing of GED and HiSET prep class locations and testing facilities in the Savannah area. Georgia offers two options for High School Equivalency testing: the GED and HiSET exams.

The GED exam is fully computer-formatted, whereas the HiSET can be taken on paper and on a computer.

Both the GED and HiSET exams are available online and at certified testing centers.

The GED and HiSET exams measure basic knowledge at a level that high school seniors must command upon graduation.

The GED exam is challenging, and proper preparation is absolutely required. You can study with a GED prep class at one of the facilities listed on this page or learn with an accredited online program, such as the online course created by Onsego GED Prep.

The GED  includes four independent subject tests that cover the academic areas of

• Language Arts
• Social Studies
• Math
• Science

The HiSET exam has separate reading and writing subtests, so five in total.

You have the freedom to take one (or more) of the four GED or five HiSET subtests at a time.

Until recently, online GED or HiSET testing was not possible. You needed to come to an official Georgia test center in person, but that has now changed with the arrival of an online, proctored GED and HiSET testing option. Read more below.

Savannah Tech’s Adult Education Program is serving adult learners who need to improve their written and oral English, basic literacy, and math skills, and study toward their GED diploma so they can get better jobs or go to college. Online GED and HiSET Testing Options

In the past, to take the GED exam, you were required to show up in person at one of Georgia’s state-designated test centers. Online testing was just not offered.

But the introduction of a new online, proctored GED and HiSET testing option has changed all that. If you take the online GED or HiSET test, you will see an online proctor who will help you and see if you do everything according to the regulations.
