One Subtest at a Time

You are not required to take the entire GED battery all at once. You can write the four modules one (or more) at a time. Many students start with the subject test that they think is the easiest for them. That will build up their confidence.

GED testing is quite challenging; the passing standards are set at a level that around 40% of high school grads would not pass on the first try.

So proper preparation is essential, and our free GED practice tests help you identify the areas that need the most of your attention.

The Online GED Exam

Most states offer the GED exam online, but New York is one of the six states that do not. You may, however, qualify for online GED testing in another state that doesn’t have state residency requirements.

To be eligible for online testing, you must first have reached passing scores (in the ‘green’ range) on the official practice test GED Ready.

There’s one of these practice tests for each of the four GED exams, so that’s four, which are available on GED.com for $7.99 each.

So you see, that will add another $32 on top of the regular testing fees in that particular state.

Onsego students with an Advantage Plan will receive 4 GED Ready tests free of charge. That’s included in their plans: a fine $32 bonus.

There is already an Onsego Advantage Plan for $79, including 4 free GED Ready tests and 6 months of unlimited access!
