In this article, you can find all GED or HiSET prep sites and testing centers in the Pittsfield region. Massachusetts is using two options for the state’s High School Equivalency testing program, the HiSET and GED exams.
Both tests can now be taken online and at certified testing facilities.
The exams offer adults who did not accomplish high school the chance to acquire an equivalent degree.
Both tests measure basic knowledge at a level comparable to what students usually learn in four years of high school.
The GED® has four individual subtests in Science, Math, Literacy, and Social Studies that can be taken separately.
There are five HiSET® tests: English reading, English writing, science, social studies, and math, that may be taken separately as well.
The GED tests are fully computer-formatted, while the HiSET is offered both on paper and on a computer.
