In this post, we list all GED prep sites and testing facilities in and around Middletown, New Jersey. The state of New Jersey offers two options to earn a high school equivalency diploma. The state also welcomed the HiSET exam.

Both the GED and HiSET can be taken online or at certified New Jersey test centers.

The exams are for people who never finished their regular high school education and offer a chance to acquire an equivalent degree. TASC testing is no longer available.

The high school equivalency (HSE) diploma will qualify you for a college education and will definitely lead to better job options.

In New Jersey, both options are administered on a computer. There is no paper-based testing possibility anymore. The GED® exam includes four independent subtests or modules in

• Math
• Science
• Language Arts
• Social Studies

The HiSET® exam comes with five tests as the Literacy section has separate language reading and language writing tests.

All GED and HiSET subtests may be taken separately and in any order. No need to take the subtests all at once.

Brookdale Community College offers GED day and night classes at the Freehold Campus and the Long Branch, Hazlet, and Neptune Higher Education Centers.
