The HiSET® assessment gives persons who never completed high school one more option to obtain an equivalent credential.

Testing is done, just like the GED®, at a similar level as what HS seniors are expected to know when they graduate.

The HiSET comes with five modular subtests in English writing, English reading, social studies, math, and science.

The diploma that’s awarded upon successful completion of the HiSET exam will surely lead to better job options, and it allows for a college education.

The HiSET exam was, until recently, not offered online. Testing needed to be done at an official testing center.

But now, we’ve seen the introduction of an online proctored version, the ‘HiSET-Exam-At-Home.’ Read more below.

Online HiSET Testing

Until recently, to sit for the New Hampshire HiSET test, you had to come in person to an official state-approved HiSET testing center. Online testing was simply not available. Well, this has changed with the arrival of an online testing option called the ‘HiSET-Exam-At-Home.’ For more information, go to Introducing the HiSET-At-Home exam.

HiSET Testing

New Hampshire stopped using the GED exam for High School Equivalency testing some years ago and switched to the HiSET exam. The GED is only offered in a computer-based format, whereas the HiSET is administered both on-computer and on-paper.

The latest edition is also much more expensive than former versions, so New Hampshire had reasons enough, like many other states, to change to another exam provider.

The certificate that you will receive after successfully finishing the New Hampshire HiSET exam is all across North America accepted as equivalent to a high school diploma. This website also offers you free online video lessons and practice tests to get you all set fast!
