It doesn’t matter when you left school.
The assessment gives adults without a high school diploma a chance to earn an equivalent degree.
GED® testing occurs through four separate subtests in the fields of Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.
These four subtests (modules) can be taken one at a time.
The GED is quite challenging. Testing is done at a level that compares to that of high school seniors upon graduation.

Introducing The Online GED Test
It is now possible to take the GED exam online. It used to be that GED candidates had to report personally to one of Arkansas’ state-designated GED test centers if they were looking to secure an Arkansas GED diploma.
Now that an online proctored GED test has become available, all of that has changed. To qualify for the online GED exam, test-takers must have attained “green scores” on the GED Ready® practice test. More information is found here: The online proctored GED exam.
