The GED exam can be taken online and at state-designated GED® test centers.

The assessment gives people who couldn’t graduate high school one more option to secure an equivalent degree.

Some students prefer to learn under the guidance of a teacher at a physical prep site. Others may rather prefer studying with a good, accredited prep course.

Best GED Classes offers free practice tests and video lessons that allow you to discover if online learning suits you well. If so, we suggest you continue with Onsego GED Online Prep, an affordable, accredited course that is awarded to predicate “100% GED Test-Aligned” by GED Testing service.

The GED exam comes with four individual tests, or modules, in the fields of

The GED diploma is, across the nation, recognized as the equivalency of a high school diploma by employers and schools.

Students who take the GED exam for the first time can do so for free through Kentucky’s Skills U program.

In the past, GED testing was only possible at an official Kentucky GED testing site. Online testing was never an option, but that has changed with the arrival of a new online proctored testing option; read more below.

Introducing the Online GED Test

Until recently, taking the GED exam over the Internet was not an option. If you were looking to earn a Kentucky GED diploma, your personal appearance at an official Kentucky GED test facility was required. However, the introduction of a new, online, proctored GED test-taking option has changed all that.

You may now also deal with the four GED modules using an online format where a proctor guides you through the test-taking process and sees if you do it all in line with rules and regulations. Visit this page -> ‘Online GED test‘ to learn more.
