GED Classes Lexington Kentucky

This post lists GED prep class locations and testing sites in the Lexington region. Kentucky uses the computer-formatted GED for high school equivalency testing.

The GED exam can be taken online and at state-designated GED test centers.

The assessment gives people who couldn’t graduate high school one more option to secure an equivalent degree.

Some students prefer to learn under the guidance of a teacher at a physical prep site. Others may rather prefer studying with a good, accredited prep course.

You can deal with the four GED tests separately; no need to take it all in one session.

The GED diploma is, across the nation, recognized as the equivalency of a high school diploma by employers and schools.

Students who take the GED exam for the first time can do so for free through Kentucky’s Adult Education program.

In the past, GED testing was only possible at an official Kentucky GED testing site. Online testing was never an option, but that has changed with the arrival of a new online proctored testing option; read more below.

Introducing the Online GED Test

Until recently, taking the GED exam over the Internet was not an option. If you were looking to earn a Kentucky GED diploma, your personal appearance at an official Kentucky GED test facility was required. However, the introduction of a new, online, proctored GED test-taking option has changed all that.

You may now also deal with the four GED modules using an online format where a proctor guides you through the test-taking process and sees if you do it all in line with rules and regulations. Visit this page -> ‘Online GED test‘ to learn more.
