This post lets you discover all GED prep locations and testing sites in the El Paso region. Texas uses the fully computer-formatted GED exam for High School Equivalency testing.
The GED exam is available at official Texas test centers and in an online format.
The Texas GED exam program offers adults who have not completed high school the chance to earn an equivalent degree.
The GED test consists of four separate subtests (modules) assessing a candidate’s skills and knowledge of these academic subjects:
- Language Arts
- Social Studies
- Science
- Math
You may prepare for and take one (or more) of the four GED modules at a time, and the exam is available in English and Spanish.
Our website makes GED prep accessible with our free online GED classes and practice tests. If online learning appeals to you, we recommend you continue with Onsego GED Prep, an affordable, accredited program that will get you all set for the GED test in no time!

Introducing the Online GED Exam
In the past, the GED test could only be taken in person at one of Texas’ official, state-approved high school equivalency (HSE) testing locations. Online GED testing was not an option, but this has now changed as we saw the launch of an online GED testing option.
More information about the recently introduced online proctored GED exam is found here: Introducing the online proctored GED test.
