The GED and HiSET exams offer people who never finished high school one more shot at obtaining an equivalent credential.
The exams measure proficiency at levels that compare to those of graduating high school seniors.
There are GED students who do better if they study at one of the physical GED prep class sites listed on this page supervised by a teacher, while other students learn better with an online prep course.
This website offers free online GED classes and practice tests to help you determine if learning with an online GED prep course is right for you.
Online GED Classes
A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.
If so, we advise you to continue with Onsego GED Prep, a full-scope, affordable course that GED Testing Service has awarded the predicate “fully aligned to the current GED test.”
The GED has four subtests (independent modules) in these subjects:
- Language Arts (Reading and Writing in one subtest)
- Science
- Social Studies
- Math
You can write these modules separately and in any order.
HiSET testing comes with individual reading and writing tests (so five overall) that are offered separately, too.
For more information about Michigan eligibility requirements, scoring, or costs, go to GED Testing In Michigan.
