So again, the GED tests are scored on a 100-200 scale, and the minimally required score (145 points) counts for all four tests covering Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. If you want to get GED College Ready scores, you need to score a minimum of 165 points for each GED subject.
Bear in mind that the GED exam is pretty challenging and that decent preparation is absolutely required. Some 40 percent of high school grads would not pass the four GED subtests on their first attempt!
So, there are four independent modules on the GED exam. The exam is for adults who don’t have a high school diploma. In most U.S. states, the minimum age to be able to sit for the GED test is sixteen, though there are states that require a higher age to qualify.
Underage applicants (16 and 17), however, must meet strict additional requirements. They must, for instance, be officially withdrawn from their high school and have parental permission.
Your state awards the GED diploma or certificate (depending on the state) when you have scored sufficiently (145 and up) on all four GED modules. The GED test is administered both at state-certified test centers and in an online format.
Note that your GED scores will not expire so long as this version of the GED test (2014 series) is used, and your GED diploma will never expire!
