On this page, you can discover all GED and HiSET preparatory class locations and testing sites in the Carrollton area. Georgia uses two high school equivalency tests, the GED and HiSET tests.
In Georgia, you need to pass the four GED subtests or five HiSET subtests if you want to acquire your high school equivalency diploma.
The exams are for adult learners who never finished high school and offer them the chance to earn an equivalent degree.
There are four independent GED subject tests (modules) in the fields of Math, Literacy, Social Studies, and Science.
The HiSET exam has individual Literacy Reading and Writing subtests, so five in total.
You can take one or more of the four GED or five HiSET modules when you’re well prepared. There’s no need to take the entire GED or HiSET battery in one session.
Online GED or HiSET testing is now also possible. In the past, to secure your GED, you had to show up at a state-designated GED test center in person.

Online GED And HiSET Test-Taking Option
Until recently, taking the Georgia GED exam could only be done at a state-designated GED testing facility. There just was no online option to sit for the exam. You needed to show up in person if you wanted to secure your GED diploma after you passed the four GED subject tests.
Well, all of this has now changed with the introduction of a new, online, proctored GED testing format, and Georgia also welcomed the HiSET exam for HSE testing. When taking the GED or HiSET test online, an online proctor helps you with the test-taking process, and he also checks whether all happens in line with strict regulations.
To learn more, go to ‘Introducing the online GED test’ for information about the online GED exam, and for more details about the online HiSET exam, <- check out this page.
