Posted here are all GED prep locations and testing facilities in the Baltimore area. Maryland is using the GED test for its high school equivalency testing program.
The GED test is given at state-approved test centers and in an online format.
The exam gives adults who couldn’t graduate high school another option for obtaining an equivalent degree. The test is done at a level similar to what graduating high school seniors must command.
For some students, it is better if they get prepared for the GED exam under the guidance of an instructor, while others learn very well with an online program.

Introducing Online GED Testing
Until recently, it was not possible to take the GED exam via the Internet. You needed to appear in person at one of Maryland’s state-approved GED test centers when you wanted to secure your GED credential.
Well, that has all changed with the arrival of a new, online, proctored GED testing option. A proctor will oversee the entire test-taking process and ensure that everything you do is in line with the strict regulations.

GED Cost in Maryland
The Maryland GED test costs $144 in total or $36.00 per subtest. First-time test-takers, however, pay 14.25 per subtest both at a test center and online as the state subsidizes $21.75 per subtest. Maryland does not subsidize retests. So, 1st-time GED testers only pay $14.25 for their first attempt. The Discount Code is MDGED2175, which is to be used at checkout when paying $14.25 for the first attempt.
