GED Classes Ardmore, Oklahoma

On this page, you can discover all GED® prep classes and test centers in the Ardmore area. Oklahoma uses several options for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the GED, TASC, and HiSET.

The HiSET and GED exams can be taken online and at certified Oklahoma HSE test centers.

The HSE test gives adults who couldn’t complete high school another shot at obtaining an equivalent diploma.

HSE testing is done at a level comparable to what HS seniors must know upon graduation.

The TASC and HiSET are offered both on paper and on a computer while the GED is not offered in a paper-based format.

The GED exam has four separate subject tests in the academic fields of Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

You have the freedom to take the four GED subject tests one at a time.

TASC and HiSET contain five tests (separate reading and writing tests) that can also be taken individually.

In the past, online TASC, GED, or HiSET testing was never an option. But now, we saw the introduction of both GED and HiSET online testing options. Read more below.

Welcoming the online GED and HiSET test

In earlier days, students that wanted to secure an Oklahoma high school equivalency diploma always needed to show up personally at an official, state-designated HSE testing site. There just never was an option to deal with the exams online. But recently, we’ve witnessed the launch of both a GED and a HiSET testing option in an online proctored format.

To learn more about the recently introduced online proctored HiSET testing option, visit this page: ‘Welcoming an online HiSET testing option’, and for more information on the newly launched GED online proctored testing option, check out this article: ‘Introducing a new online proctored GED testing option’.
