Here, we list all GED or HiSET prep facilities and test centers in the Worcester region. Massachusetts offers two options for high school equivalency testing: HiSET and GED.
Both exams are available at certified testing facilities only because Massachusetts suspended the online HiSET and GED tests.
The assessments give adults who never graduated high school an extra opportunity to get hold of an equivalent diploma.
The HiSET and GED exams examine knowledge at a level that high school students must command upon graduation.

Until recently, there had never been an option to take the HiSET or GED online. You needed to come to an official Massachusetts testing site.
That changed as both the HiSET and the GED exams were offered over the Internet. Note, however, that Massachusetts has canceled the online HiSET and GED exams!
Check out “The Massachusetts GED Test” if you want to read all about HiSET and GED scoring, testing fees, or Massachusetts eligibility criteria.

Online GED and HiSET Tests
It used to be that sitting for the GED or HiSET exam online was not available. Both exams had to be completed exclusively at one of Massachusetts’ state-designated testing facilities. But new, online, proctored testing formats were introduced for both the GED and the HiSET exam. For now, however, the Massachusetts online GED and HiSET exams have been canceled!
You may qualify to take the exams in another state without residency requirements. To learn more about the online ‘HiSET-Exam-At-Home’ option, check out: ‘Introducing the online HiSET test.’ For more information about the online GED option, go to ‘The online GED exam.’
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education announced that the state covers the GED and HiSET testing fees. Check here for more details and to learn about promo codes.
