GED Classes Wichita, Kansas

This article shows all GED® prep class locations and testing centers in the Wichita area. Kansas uses the computer-formatted GED exam for HSE (high school equivalency) testing.

The GED exam is given online and at official Kansas GED test centers.

HSE testing gives people who didn’t graduate from high school one more chance to acquire an equivalent degree.

Testing occurs at a level that is comparable to that of graduating HS seniors.

The GED test includes four individual modules (subtests) that cover literacy, math, science, and social studies.

You are given the option to sit for one (or more) of the GED modules at a time.

Online GED testing was, until recently, never possible. Personal appearance at a state-designated testing site was required.

However, the recent introduction of an online GED testing option has changed that. Learn more below.

Online GED testing option

In the past, taking the GED test online was not an option. To secure your GED credential, you needed to appear, in person, at a state-approved GED testing facility.

Fortunately, now that had all changed! GED testing has now also become available over the internet. An online proctor guides you then through the online test-taking process and sees whether everything is done conform to regulations. Learn more in this post: ‘New Online GED testing Option’.
