Posted here are all GED prep class locations and testing facilities in the Pueblo area. Colorado uses two options for high school equivalency testing: the HiSET and GED exams.
HiSET and GED testing can take place at certified test centers or online. Read more below about online GED and HiSET testing.
The exams provide adults who never completed high school with another possibility to acquire an equivalent diploma. Both options measure proficiency at a level that is comparable to that of graduating high school seniors.
The GED exam must be done entirely on a computer, while the HiSET exam is available on paper and on a computer.
Online GED Classes
A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.
The GED exam has four independent subtests measuring knowledge in these subjects:
- English Language
- Math
- Science
- Social Studies
You can write these subtests separately and in the order you wish.
The HiSET comes with five tests (Literacy is split up into individual reading and writing tests) that can be taken separately, too.

Online Proctored GED and HiSET Testing
Today, the HiSET and GED tests are available in online formats as well. Students looking to earn their HSE diplomas used to be required to take the exam at an official state-approved test center, but those days are gone.
Both the GED exam and the HiSET are now offered in an online format as well with the use of online proctors. If you want information about this great development, check out The online GED Test, and for information on the HiSET exam, go to The online HiSET test.
