GED Classes New Orleans Louisiana

This post lists all GED and HiSET prep class locations and testing sites in the New Orleans area. The GED and HiSET exams are for adults who could not finish high school, and this way, they can earn an equivalent credential.

Testing occurs at a level that is similar to that of graduating high school seniors.

There are students who prefer to study for their GED exam under the guidance of an instructor. Just check out the listed locations below. Others may do very well by using an online course. Ensure, however, that the online GED prep course is properly accredited!

Through our free online GED classes and practice tests, you can discover if online learning is the right method for you. If so, we suggest you continue learning with Onsego GED Prep, an accredited, full-scope, affordable course that GED Testing Service recognizes as “Fully GED Test-Aligned.”

Online GED Classes

A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.

There are five HiSET subtests measuring knowledge in the subject areas of

  • Language Writing
  • Language Reading
  • Social Studies
  • Math
  • Science

GED testing involves four separate sub-exams since the Language Writing and Language Reading portions were turned into one Language Arts sub-exam.

The HiSET is available in both a paper-and-pencil and a computerized format. The GED exam is exclusively available on a computer.

Online HiSET or GED testing was, until a few years back, not an option. The exam was exclusively administered at official Louisiana testing centers, but the recent arrival of online GED HiSET testing options has changed that. Check below for more details.

All across America, the GED or HiSET diploma is accepted in the same way as a standard high school diploma.

Online GED and HiSET Testing Option

Until recently, the HiSET and GED tests were never available via the Internet. To acquire a Louisiana HSE (high school equivalency) degree, your personal appearance at one of Louisiana’s official HiSET or GED testing sites was a requirement. Now, however, that has changed with the introduction of a new online HiSET test-taking option named the HiSET-At-Home Exam and the OP (Online Proctored) GED Test.

If you decide to take the five HiSET or four GED modules (one at a time is possible) online from your home, a proctor will oversee the entire process and check whether it all occurs in line with the regulations. For more detailed information, check out ‘Online HiSET Test.’ For more details on the Online GED Test, <- check here.
