GED Classes Johnson City, Tennessee

This article is an overview of all HiSET (formerly GED®) prep class sites and testing sites in the Johnson City area.

Tennessee is using the HiSET exam for the state’s high school equivalency (HSE) testing program.

The HSE program offers adult learners who didn’t graduate high school one more option to earn an equivalent diploma.

The HiSET has five subtests in Literacy Writing, Literacy Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

The HiSET (like the GED), measures knowledge at a level that compares to that of high school students upon graduation.

The HiSET is available in both paper- and computer-based versions.

How to choose online GED-HiSET classes

A better future

The motivation for earning your High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma stems from your commitment to getting a better job and to pursue high education. The HSE diploma also helps you get into college. Moreover, practically all employers today consider the HSE diploma to be equivalent to a common high school diploma. There is NO HiSET or GED online testing possibility. Websites with that sort of messages are fraudulent!

Go to HSE testing in Tennessee to see if you qualify. You may also want to take a look at this post that has links to all GED schools and testing facilities in America.

HiSET preparation

It is important to prepare well for the HiSET exam, which is why there are many HiSET prep classes you can attend to help you with your exam and teach you how to handle difficult topics (See our list above). Because GED and HiSET exams contain more or less the same contents, you can also attend this website’s entirely free video lessons and practice tests, a great method to get ahead fast. Here are some tips that help you learn and prepare for the HiSET diploma:

Instead of memorizing concepts, it is better understanding them. Make it a point to assess the reasons to solve problems using a particular method. Once you complete your assessment, note down the reasons and any unsolved questions or doubts you may have. Practice is important and should be done consistently. This is important as insufficient practice makes you forget things. So for help with a quicker recall and to get a sharper memory, you have to practice regularly.

HiSET passing score

On the HiSET, you need to attain at least an 8 score (out of 20) for each of the five subtests. Your essay score needs to be in the 2-6 range, and your overall score must be at least 45 out of a possible 100).
