Posted here are all GED® class locations and test centers in the Bowling Green region. In Kentucky, you need to pass the GED exam to earn your high school equivalency (HSE) diploma.
GED testing is possible at official test centers or in an online format.
The HSE test offers adults who never finished high school the chance to acquire an equivalent credential.
The computer-formatted GED includes four tests in Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
The GED subtests can be taken separately. No need to complete the GED battery all at once.
Testing occurs at a level that compares to what a high school student must know upon graduation.
In the past, there was no GED test-taking option over the internet. Testing had to be done at an official Kentucky testing site.
But now, the arrival of an online GED testing option has changed that. Read more below.
First-time GED test-takers can take the four GED subtests for free through the KY Skills U program.

A new online GED testing option
Until recently, online GED testing was not possible. If you would like to earn the Kentucky GED diploma, you needed to appear at one of the official GED testing facilities and sit for the four subtests in person. Now, the arrival of an online GED testing option has changed that.
GED testing s now offered in an online proctored version as well. A proctor helps you with the online process and checks if you do everything conform to the regulations. Learn more here: ‘Online proctored GED testing option introduced’.
