Introducing the Online Proctored GED Exam

In earlier days, if you wanted to secure your high school equivalency (HSE) degree, you were always required to show up in person at one of Oregon’s official GED test centers. Online GED testing simply didn’t exist. Now, however, we saw the introduction of an online proctored GED exam as well, so that is changing.

An online proctor will monitor if you do everything in accordance with the regulations. To learn more about this new online GED testing option, go to this post: ‘The online proctored GED test.’

GED Passing Score

On each individual GED module, you are required to attain at least a 145 score. Results are calibrated on a 100-200 scale, and averaging is no option. So, to secure your GED diploma, your total score must be 580 or higher.

The four GED modules are independent exams that can be taken one or more at a time. There’s no need to prepare for the entire GED battery all at once. Get ready for one section, pass that subtest, and move on to the next part.
