To get your GED Diploma, you need to pass all four subjects of the GED test. The passing score is 145 points per subject. You can’t take the GED test online; you need to take it at an official GED testing center.

Only Texas residents who are 16 years or older can take the GED Test in Texas. The price of the GED testing fee in Texas is $145 for the entire exam or $36.25 per subtest.

Texas does not require test takers to attend a GED  prep course first. It is strongly advised, though, to get perfectly prepared for four subtests are very challenging.

Texas additionally offers two alternatives for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the HiSET and TASC exams. The practice tests featured on this page are also a perfect help to get all set for these exams that include five subject fields as Language is split up into separate reading and writing subtests.
