GED Classes Stuart, Florida

This post lists all GED® prep locations and testing centers in the Stuart area.

In Florida, to earn your HSE (high school equivalency) credential, you will have to pass the GED test.

HSE testing is for individuals who quit high school prematurely and offers them the opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED exam measures knowledge at the same level that may be expected of graduating high school students.

There are four independent GED subtests (or modules) in Literacy), Social Studies, Math, and Science.

The GED exam is modular, meaning you can take one of the four subtests (modules) individually.

Test scores are valid for two years from the time of your first registration.

Online GED testing is not an option. You must appear in person at an official Florida GED test center.

The GED diploma

The GED program is developed to assist people without a high school diploma with their initiatives to obtain a credential equivalent to a high school diploma in order to find better employment options and to gain access to institutions of higher education. The GED credential is recognized as equivalent to a high school diploma by official institutions, companies, and higher learning institutions all over the country.

Online GED testing?

Online GED testing is NOT possible. You need to show up at a designated testing site in person. If you happen to come across a website that tells a different story you can be sure this is fraud. Online obtained documents will not be accepted by schools or employers! Online prep courses can be a great help, though, particularly for busy workers and those living in remote areas.

GED passing score

Florida, just like most states, introduced the computer-based GED exam in January 2014. The new minimally required score on each sub-test was set at 150 (on a scale of 100 to 200), but this was brought down 145 in early 2016 because studies had indicated that 150 was too high when compared to what high school seniors are expected to command upon graduation.

The GED exam and your future

The most heard reason why a lot of people consider to get their  GED diploma is that they did not complete high school and want to acquire a certificate that compares to a regular high school diploma. In these times, the least qualification you need for whatever sort of job is a high school diploma or similar. Without it, you won’t have a chance to get hired, and you also won’t be able to get into college or university.

With the new GED exam, you really should become as prepared as you possibly can, and the options are plenty. You can register for one of the above-listed classes or learn by yourself if you get books from the library or bookstore. You might feel better by taking an internet course so you can study when and where suits you best. In any case, it is wise to take some practice tests to learn what you should concentrate on most.
