Listed in this post are all GED® prep locations and testing sites in the Rock Hill region. South Carolina uses the GED test for adults wishing to earn their HSE (high school equivalency) degree.
GED testing can be done online and at state-approved test centers.
The HSE program is for people who never finished high school and gives them another chance to earn an equivalent degree.
The GED is entirely computer-based and includes four individual subtests (modules) in Math, Science, Social Studies, and Literacy.
The GED modules can be taken separately. You don’t need to complete the GED battery in one take.
In the past, there never was a way to deal with the GED exam in an online format but the recent launch of the online proctored GED test has changed that now. Read more below.

Your future
The GED (General Education Development) program is developed to help adults with developing their lives via learning. Completing the test will generate better jobs and open doors to institutions of higher education. You can take (and pay for) the four GED subtests separately.
How Hard Is The GED Test?Welcoming an online GED testing option
Until recently, it was not possible to take the GED exam via the internet. To secure your high school equivalency (HSE) diploma, you were required to show up, in person, at an official South Carolina HSE test center.
Now, however, all of that has changed with the arrival of an online GED testing option. For more information, visit ‘Introducing the online proctored GED exam’.
