GED Classes Richmond, Kentucky

Here is an overview of all GED® prep classes and testing locations in the Richmond, region. In Kentucky, you will have to pass the four subtests of the GED Test to earn your high school equivalency (HSE) diploma.

The GED test can be taj=ken online and at official Kentucky GED test centers.

The GED exam assesses knowledge at the same level that may be expected of high school grads.

There are four separate modules (subtests) in the following academic subject areas: Science, Math, Literacy, and Social Studies.

The GED exam measures your knowledge at a level that compares to that of HS seniors upon graduation.

You can pass the four GED modules one at a time. There’s no need to sit for the entire GED battery in one session.

The GED tests are entirely done on a computer. There is no paper-based testing available.

Until recently, taking the GED exam online was not possible but now, we’ve seen the introduction of a new online option to deal with the four subtests. Learn more below.

Introduction of a new online GED testing option

In the past, the GED test was not available over the internet. If you were looking to earn your Kentucky GED diploma, your personal appearance at an official GED testing site was required. But recently, things have changed with the arrival of an online GED testing option.

Now, you can take the four GED modules from the comfort of your home using an online testing format with a proctor that checks if test-taking happens in accordance with the regulations. You can learn more here: ‘New Online Proctored GED Testing Option’.

For who is the GED?

The main reason that adults choose for the GED road is that they never completed high school and would like to get a certificate that is equivalent to a high school degree. These days, a high school degree is something you will need for any job; without a high school or equivalent education, you just will not get hired regardless of the job. On top of that, when you don’t hold the degree, you won’t be allowed into colleges or universities.
