Your future
The computer-formatted GED (General Education Development) exam is intended for adults who never received a high school diploma and gives them a second chance to obtain a diploma that is comparable to a high school degree.
The certification that you will receive after successfully completing the Washington State GED test is nationwide accepted as being equivalent to a regular high school diploma by government institutions, recruiters, businesses, and universities.
Most GED questions must be answered in an essay-style way, so candidates’ writing skills can be assessed via the other four GED tests. These four tests are in the academic fields of Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
The introduction of online GED testing
In the past, sitting for the four GED modules in an online format was never possible. If you wanted to secure your Washington State GED degree, you always had to come, in-person, to an official, state-designated GED testing facility.
This has changed now with the introduction of online proctored GED testing. Students who qualify for taking the GED test online will see a proctor who monitors online whether their testing activities are in accordance with some rather strict regulations. For more detailed information, please check out this article: The introduction of the online GED test.
