In this post, you can discover all GED and HiSET prep sites and test centers in the New Castle region. Pennsylvania uses two options for high school equivalency testing, the GED and HiSET exams.
Both the GED and HiSET can be taken online and at certified test centers.
The HiSET can be done both on a computer and on paper, whereas the GED is fully computerized.
The exams are for persons who quit high school without a diploma and give them the opportunity to get hold of an equivalent degree.
The GED® exam has four independent subtests in the subject areas of Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies.
You can take (and pay for) one GED subtest (module) at a time.
The HiSET® exam contains five tests (the section literacy is divided into writing and reading tests) that are also modular.

Launching Online Proctored GED And HiSET Tests
In earlier days, the HiSET and the GED exam were not offered in online versions. They had to be taken in person at one of Pennsylvania’s state-approved HSE (High School Equivalency) testing facilities. That is, until just recently, as we saw the introduction of both online proctored GED and HiSET test-taking options.
