GED Classes Mansfield, Ohio

Listed on this page are all GED® prep classes and testing facilities in the Mansfield region.

Ohio uses multiple options for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the GED, TASC, and HiSET.

HSE testing takes place at a level similar to what HS seniors are required to command upon graduation.

The GED is entirely computerized and has four separate subject tests in Literacy, Science, Math, and Social Studies.

You can sit for one of the GED subtests (modules) separately and your test results count for two years from your first registration.

The TASC and HiSET include individual reading and writing tests, so five overall that are also available individually.

Online GED, HiSET, or TASC testing is NO possibility. Testing must be done at a state-designated HSE testing site.

Passing scoreGED Practice Test with Timer

The passing score on each individual GED subject test was reduced from 150 to 145. Scoring is done on a scale that goes from 100 to 200. Lowering the passing requirements was absolutely needed as many GED holders outperformed their high school counterparts in college. Research proved that the passing score was set too ambitiously when the latest version of the GED test was introduced. Read more in this GED News post. The HiSET and TASC exams have their own passing scores and scoring systems.
