This post lists all GED® prep location and testing facilities in the Lorain region. Ohio uses the computer-based GED test for its high school equivalency testing (HSE) program.
The state also welcomed the HiSET® which is available both on paper and on a computer.
Ther HiSET and GED exams are available online and at official Ohio HSE testing facilities.
HSE testing gives adults who did not finish high school the chance to acquire an equivalent credential.
The GED includes four independent subtests in Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
You have the option to take one of the four GED subtests (modules) at a time.
The HiSET exam comes with individual reading and writing tests, so five in total, that can also be taken separately.
In the past, online testing was never an option. That has changed, however, with the arrival of both HiSET and GED online testing options. For information about online GED and HiSET testing options, check below at the bottom of this page.
