GED Classes Findlay, Ohio

Listed in this article are all GED® preparatory facilities and testing centers in the Findlay region. Ohio is using two exams for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the GED and HiSET®.

GED and HiSET testing is available online and at official Ohio HSE testing facilities. To learn more about the recently introduced online HiSET and GED tests, check the bottom of this post.

HSE testing is geared towards adults who were not in the position to complete their regular HS education.

The program gives them one more opportunity to earn a degree that’s equivalent to a common HS diploma.

The GED is entirely computer-formatted and includes four separate tests in Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

You can sit for these subtests separately. You are not required to sit for the entire GED battery in one test session.

HiSET testing includes five subtests that are offered separately as well if wished. Here, the literacy part has individual reading and writing tests.

The HiSET exam is offered both in a paper-based format and on a computer.

Further education

The GED and HISET exams are for individuals who don’t hold a high school diploma. They have another chance to obtain a credential that is all over the country accepted as equivalent to a high school diploma.

Earning your HSE diploma will certainly improve employment options and it opens the doors of institutions of higher education. Testing can only be done at state-designated HSE testing sites.

Your future

Presently in the United States, we can find over four million jobs available for which you need a high school education. The country is in need of a lot of workers that have a high school diploma or similar.

If these positions cannot be filled, the national economy cannot be running as it should. If you receive your HSE diploma, you will have the opportunity to apply for one of these well-paying jobs. This will result in an increase in your personal income, and benefit our economy as a whole as well.

Introducing GED and HiSET online testing

If you wanted to secure your Ohio HSE (high school equivalency) diploma, you had to show up personally at an official Ohio testing site. There was simply no online testing option. This has now changed with the arrival of online proctored GED and HiSET test-taking options.

To read more about the online proctored HiSET testing option, visit this article: ‘Introducing online HiSET testing’, and to learn more about the new online GED testing option, visit ‘Introducing the online GED test’.
