GED Classes Chester, Pennsylvania

Listed here is an overview of GED or HiSET prep class locations and testing sites in the Chester region. Pennsylvania is using multiple options for high school equivalency testing, the GED and HiSET.

The GED and HiSET exams offer individuals who could not finish high school the chance to get hold of an equivalent degree.

The GED® is entirely computer-formatted, while the HiSET® is offered in both paper- and computer-based formats.

The GED has four independent modules (subtests) that can be taken independently.

The four GED tests are in the academic subject area of Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

The HiSET exam includes five tests. The Literacy part includes writing and reading tests. If you wish, you can also take these tests separately.

GED and HiSET testing was never possible online. To sit for the GED or HiSET, you had to go in person to an official Pennsylvania testing site.

This has changed, though, with the arrival of online HiSET and GED testing options. Check below for more details.

GED And HiSET Online Testing Options

Both the HiSET and GED exams had to be dealt with in person at an official HSE testing center. That is, however, now changing with the arrival of new online proctored testing options for both GED and HiSET tests.

For more detailed information about the new online proctored HiSET test option, visit this post: ‘Introducing the online HiSET test’ and for more information on the new online proctored GED testing option, go to this post: ‘Welcoming the online proctored GED test.’
