GED Classes Boulder, Colorado

This article contains a full listing of GED® prep classes and testing sites in the Boulder region. Colorado uses the GED exam for its HSE (high school equivalency) testing program but there is more.

The state additionally welcomed the HiSET® exam for that purpose.

The GED and HiSET exams can be taken online or at certified HSE testing facilities. Read more about the online HiSET and GED tests below.

The GED is fully computerized whereas the HiSET is available in both a paper- and computer-based format.

The GED exam has four separate subtests in Literacy, Social Studies, Science, and Math.

You have the option to deal with the four GED subtests (modules) one at a time.

The HiSET exam contains five subtests (reading, writing, literacy, science, and social studies) that may be done separately as well.

Online proctored GED or HiSET tests

The GED and HiSET are now offered in an online proctored format as well. It used to be that, to sit for the exams, you needed to show up at an official Colorado testing site and take the exams in person.

Well, that has now totally changed. Both the GED and HiSET have launched online versions of their tests where an online proctor will oversee your activities to guarantee that everything goes according to the rules. To learn more about these developments, visit the following posts: online GED testing available and for HiSET: online proctored HiSET testing.
